Use your cel phone to remember songwriting snippets
I hum melodies and key phrases into my cel phone using the voice recorder feature that most phones have nowadays. Then evey so often I go through and put those items down in my master notebook, or record those melodies into my PC-based recording system so I never forget them.
If your cel phone doesn't have a voice recorder feature, you could simply leave yourself a voicemail message. That works too.
