Seattle songwriters Scott Krippayne and Jeff Peabody earn a publishing deal with 19 Entertainment by beating out 25,000 other submissions in the American Idol Songwriting Contest with the tune, “This Is My Now”.

According to the official American Idol Songwriting Competition site, the producers are finalizing their short list of 20 songs. After that, supposedly next Wednesday May 2nd, voting begins.
