In other songwriting news from June 2006:
June 2006 was when we began publicly proclaiming our love for Moleskine notebooks. A reader alerted us to the OneLook Reverse Dictionary as a songwriting tool. We put together a user-generated list of popular two-chord songs. Impressive. Blogging Muses also looked at the debate about whether computers bad for songwriting?. Some love it, some hate it, but the article Create a great song title in 15 minutes with Microsoft Excel is one of the more popular posts on the site. Mike Skinner of The Streets talked about his songwriting process. Continuing the debate later in the month was a great article on digital songwriting insight from Gina Fant Saez. A couple of great female songwriters, Kathleen Edwards and Allison Moorer talk songwriting. Snippets of their interview can be found here.
It’s still hard to believe that was one year ago. Wow. Seems like last week.
