Songwriters are getting busy … uh … songwriting

apple-1.jpgSeveral Blogging Muses readers have taken to just getting out there and doing it (songwriting that is). Some have felt the reverberation of articles like “If you want to be a songwriter it’s never the right time” and my own “4/4 Challenge“. The songwriters at Songwriting Apples were generally impressed by Jonathan Coulton’s Thing-A-Week project.

Across the board it seems like many people are doing less talking and more writing. That’s always a good thing.

Steve writes:

I’d just like to thank whoever started this blog. It has truly been an inspiration (in fact, we started our own blog as a result of some articles found here and we’ve been off and running ever since).

It’s a pretty cool little project they have going. From what I can tell they appear to each have slightly different goals, but use the blog as a place to encourage each other, post their songs, and solicit feedback. What a great idea!

There are some other great songwriting projects going on that have been sent to me over the past week, and I’ll be posting more information on those in the next few days.

Stay tuned and happy songwriting.
