SONGWRITING TIP: Keep your “songwriting partner”/”significant other” sexually deprived to spur on creativity and keep them focused.
Maybe that was the real logic behind Alicia Keys reportedly holding sex from her boyfriend for OVER A YEAR.
At least that is what I would like to think. But according to Contact Music “ALICIA KEYS made boyfriend KERRY ‘KRUCIAL’ BROTHERS wait a year for sex, because she is “too beautiful” to give herself to someone she is unsure of.”
Is she serious? Is this report for real? If so, this is one of those quotes that I can’t help but think will come back to haunt her in her 30’s and 40’s.
On one hand I can’t believe she would use this kind of logic. Yet on the other hand it doesn’t surprise me based on interviews I have seen where she thinks the sun shines right out of her ass.
Sex as a weapon. You gotta love that in a girl … not.
As for a great songwriting tactic? Well, we may just add that one to our list of songwriting tips.
