From The Kinks to Kanye - 12 Artists Talk About How They Wrote Their Hits
By Don • Mar 6th, 2006 • Category: Inspiration
This article in the UK Guardian interviews 12 (UK) artists on the origins of their hit songs.
The process runs the gamut of an individual bringing a song to the band, to complete collaborative effort by all band members (Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict a Riot).
The Kinks - “In a strange way, it ended up being more like me than if I’d actually sung it about me.”
Kaiser Chiefs - “When you play a song to other people you can tell if it’s good or bad.”
There’s more gems of inspiration in the full article. (via Digg)
